ACT is Evolving to Better Meet the Needs of Today鈥檚 Students 

 
 

The enhanced ACT offers schools and districts a more streamlined, flexible testing experience with the validity and reliability educators trust. Beginning spring 2026, the enhancements roll out to state and district administrations with the new format and Composite score reflecting English, math, reading; science section optionality at the contract level; and allowable breaks between core assessments and science and/or writing.
